Description:	The mission of the Public Relations Society is to educate our members in the professional fields of public relations, marketing, journalism and communications while forming strong relationships within the campus community and each other. PRS aims to offer its members first-hand experience and tangible tools by working with clients, such as student organizations and university departments and events. As a group we strive to form and maintain mutually beneficial relationships between the group and the URI community in which our peers receive free PR services while the members of PRS gain knowledge and skills on a variety of topics such as business etiquette, public relations practices, writing skills, and valuable client and media relations tactics. We do this by being active members in the community with a strong commitment to continuing education through weekly educational sessions at meetings, internship experience, classroom knowledge, peer-mentor relations and participation in national and regional public relations conferences.
